On the bus for 8.40 and stopped off at Mount Eden to take a short 30 minute walk up to the top to see the crater and the views out over Auckland.
Then down to Hot Water Beach and checked into our accommodation which is really nice. A holiday park but much nicer than you would expect.
We then went on a 2 hour walk to Cathedral Cove which again was beautiful even though it was raining.
Back to the hostel for dinner which was awesome as 8 of us had decided to chip in and get the ingredients for a chilli. A much needed proper meal.
Then down to the beach at about 8pm to dig ourselves a hot water spa the sand. I have no idea what causes it but the water that comes up through the sand when you start digging is absolutely boiling to the point i think i may burned my feet.
