Up bright and early to get the bus to the ferry, 7.15am and on the boat at 8.30. A nice 3 hour ferry ride across The Cook Strait to the South Island, on which most of the group slept as they didn't get in until 5am after a night out in Wellington.
Then a long drive to Kaiteriteri arriving at about 5pm, and a relatively chilled night in the bar as most of the bus were in bed for 9pm recovering from Wellington.
Looking forward to some time off the bus over the next few days as I've decided to stay in Kaiteriteri for 4 nights.
