Day 50 - Kho Samui

A nice relaxing day ahead, most of the group are looking forward to sunbathing on the beach and getting a tan. I on the other hand went for a nice walk around in the searing heart and then relaxed reading a book for most of the day.

Went back out in the afternoon to see Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks, which are quite disturbing to be honest, Grandfather Rock is basically a big penis and Grandmother Rock is essentially a vagina shape in between 2 rocks, slightly weird but was a nice walk down to the beach to it and nice doing a bit of rock climbing to find some nice photos.

Out tonight to a Muay Thai boxing event, we were all supposed to be going but once the group saw the price (£24), they didn't want to so it just ended up being me and Sophie. So glad we did because it was amazing, 6 fights and 3 knockouts. The first fight seemed to be between 2 kids and wasn't very spectacular. Second fight was between 2 Thai amateurs and was a little more entertaining. Third was between a Thai and a Spaniard and the Spaniard won with a knockout in the 3rd round. Fourth was between the champion of Phuket and the champion of Bangkok and was incredibly dull. Fifth was the main event between the champion of Koh Phangan and the southern champion, the fight was over in 30 seconds with a leg kick and he couldn't stand after that. Sixth and best fight was between a Frenchman and rather chubby Thai, it was heel for leather action and the Frenchman won in the 3rd round with a proper knockout elbow to the temple.

An absolutely awesome night and worth every penny!
